Community Led-Monitoring

Community-Led Monitoring project has brought fruitful engagement to enhance HIV service quality and service users and providers to identify barriers and opportunities and hence in-built quality service delivery system. And we have developed and applied tested powerful monitoring tool. Community Score Card was adapted in this project to conduct Community-Led Monitoring. To triangulate the findings of Community Score Card and collect routine data, DFT were used direct observation and Key Informant Interview on HIV/AIDS service. Higher in key and priority populations in Debre Sina, active engagement of these groups was a key to improve service delivery, reduce spread of the epidemic and its impacts. We founded that HIV/AIDS service has been a major health questions of the community in our intervention area. CLM project identified that expansion of HIV testing, education of prevention; stigma reduction and behavioural change education have low intervention from service provider sides. In this regard DFT has produce and presented quarterly community-led monitoring results on HIV related service delivery of health centre in Debre Sina to find out the gaps that the service users seeking for and DFT had built a community score card in the intervention area as a tool for sustainable community-led monitoring system of accessible quality HIV service delivery for KPPG’s
